Letter Writing in Sprinkles Tray ages 3-5 Sprinkles make everything more fun, don’t they? These Montessori-inspired sensory writing trays are such a great way to make learning letters, shapes and numbers fun! We decided to make one using sprinkles because who doesn’t love sprinkles, right? Well, it was a huge hit with Oliver and he proceeded to practice writing the whole alphabet in one sitting!

Paint brush
Index cards
Black letter stickers
SET UP YOUR LETTER WRITING IN SPRINKLES TRAY:
1. Start by pouring some sprinkles into a small tray.
2. Then give the child a paintbrush and ask them to draw letters. We found some black letter stickers and placed them on index cards to make our flash cards.
So you might be asking yourself exactly what is a writing tray? Well basically, it’s any low rimmed tray filled with a movable medium. It’s a great way to help kids learn letters and letter formation, numbers and shapes. You can also practice sight words and math facts for older kids.
